My style:

My shooting and editing style is a bit more cinematic and moody, but unlike a lot of photographers I don't commit to one particular style. I firmly believe that every occasion calls for its own mood, and my goal is to make you feel something when you look back at the photos. If light and airy is the preference and the vibe of the session I will go that route, and if more neutral tones with deeper shadows or bright backlighting tells the story best I will edit based on that. Whimsical locations and softer editing, lens filters for creative light effects, high contrast black and white, I love it all!

How I work:

I have a small home studio, but primarily shoot on location. The places I choose for your photographs are tailored to the vibe you are going for and what works best for the occasion.

I have a number of great spots I use in forest preserves and parks for those wildflower and fall color photos if you want an outdoorsy feel. I also love finding hidden photography gems in the surrounding cities and villages with great architectural character for more urban settings. I have also done sunset sessions the beaches along Lake Michigan, the Chicago Botanic Gardens, and even the lobby of a hotel as a weather backup location. I constantly keep my eyes peeled for new locations!

When it comes to styling, outfit choices, etc., I am also here to help. Some clients know exactly what they want to wear and come extra prepared, and that is fantastic. But for those of you who just don't have the time to plan that all out or might not know what will work best, I've got you covered! I will always be available to answer any of your questions and make recommendations as to what will photograph best.

I am a photographer because I love the art and I love working with people, so my goal is always to make it an enjoyable experience.
